Death in the Three Fingers
Earlier in the week hiking with guests in the three finger canyons Tom found the feathers of baby birds. This is traditionally the work of four ravens who live just a couple canyons away. Linny and Tom have on multiple occasions seen them raid nests, drag the babies out, and fling them around, stomp on them, and eventually consume them all the while as one or two parents try to fight them off. The ravens make a big show of it and flaunt the killings. After having come to another dead end on Kobae tracks Tom is close enough he'd like to see if he can figure out what happen. He finds a few larger feathers where from the size of them it was a male Sharp-shinned hawk that attempted to defend the nest from the raven onslaught. This is very close to where the Sharp-shinned who Tom made the agreement with almost two years ago lives.
