Day After That
We put the road back together. We all have heat stroke as days are in the 100s. Jax and I head out to hike and later that day we get hit again.
Next Day
We put the road back together. Jax and I head up Hurrah to greet guests and get a little hiking in. Then that night we get buried again.
The Rains
Apparently Moab has been in the news for all the flooding going on. We get it before they get it usually. I expect this weather in late Aug and Sep but it's starting way early this year. We got one inch in 20 minutes and as usual it's the Base Camp roads that suffer. We suffer later in 102 heat putting it all back together with shovels. Front end load is in the plan as is more solar but there are always other things that get in the way before you can have all the money saved for the front end loader. It got the driveway and broke through the dam we had constructed on the orth side.
Hurrah Pass
On days when Teresa and Thomas are working next door on the Last Hurrah side of the property and we have check ins it's sometimes difficult to get him out on a hike as if we go no one will be here when they arrive. So what we've been doing is doing hikes between the lodge and Hurrah Pass so we will run across the guests when they are coming towards the lodge.
