The Tree
For many years there was a tree towards the west side of the lodge looking down into the river and a lookout spot for birds of all kinds to see the predators coming. It died years ago but continuted to stand despite the elements. During the nine minute storm of weeks ago the tree toppled taking a grill with it. The predators have nearly gotten a few of the songbirds recently. I told Craig and Serghei the situation and they said they'd build a new tree for me. Yes they did. It took a few days but the song birds and ravens are experimenting with it.

Hurrah Pass
Five hours later Jax, Kobae, and I reach the top of Hurrah Pass. Kobae lays down in the road about 20 feet from the top and I have to push and drag him out of the way. We have a group waiting for us on top of Hurrah.
Boys Hike Out
Kobae headed down the drvieway. Jax and I followed. Two canteens. He made a left at the driveway. We're heading up Hurrah Pass. It's 10am. I decided to take a picture of our journey each time a vehicle passes us or got out to see Kobae. One vehicle got out to see Jax. Nobody got out to see me. There were so many vehicles that stopped I forgot to take a picture about half the time. g: 1em 0; text-align: center; ">

Moab 240
When 200 plus runners pay $1,700 to run 240 miles. Not a very good picture but you get the idea. I got out in the garage a couple days early to clean it out and make room for the first aid station for the 240. Cleaning it out means you need extra shelf space so I backed three trucks and a side by side up to it, pulled tail gates down, and took everythig out of the garage and into their temporary new homes in the bed of trucks. The runners are coming in for food, medical attention if needed, water up and they are gone again.
The Property
145 acres. The property is so diversified. These pictures are all taken on the property as Jax and I are hiking around.
