Bill's Been Busy

When Tom left two weeks ago there were two boards connecting the two front porches. Not anymore. And, since Tom had the truck, Bill hauled all that flat rock in with many multiple jeep trips.

The Bulls

Tom and Linny spend their last days in San Diego at the Professional Bull Riders Enterprise Tour at Del Mar Fairgrounds. Is playing poker in the middle of an arena surrounded by bulls, really a good idea?

Erich Pictures

As Linny, Bishop, Chewey, and Tom hang out in San Diego for a few more days, we'll use the eye of the camera as seen by those that have stayed at Base Camp. Kobae kicking up some dust, Linny and Tom enjoying sunset on the river as the 2nd hogan begins to take shape just below them, and an island in the Colorado.

San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society II

In the third picture one tortoise gets turned over which can be the eventual death of them. Generally they push their necks up to turn back over when they can.

San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society

Linny and Tom bring Bishop and Chewey back to San Diego to escape the heat and while in San Diego attend the San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society show. First picture is the show, the second is a Sulcata, same as Kobae. The third and fourth are Galapagos Tortoise. One type has the laid back shell with long neck to reach into the trees, Saddleback. While Kobae may get to 150 pounds, the Galapagos will be around 700 pounds.
