Jax and I hike short hikes mostly as there is still much to do administratively. The red-winged blackbirds have left and the cowbirds have taken their place as happens this time every year. The river is rising slowly, get a little rain and it comes up and buries the beach and then dries out again.
Cactus are blooming. Only last seven to ten days and then they are gone again.
