The Phone Line Mystery

Last month Tom ran across a single strand of wire, an old field phone line, run by hand from rock to rock, to the abandoned oil well. A week or so ago, six or so miles from where he found the phone line the first time, he finds it again, deep into Jackson Hole. Today he finds it a third time on the southwest side of Jackson Hole. With what Tom knows now, it's route, is unexplainable. There's something missing, something Tom doesn't know. For tomorrow.
