Most Days

Most days the hikes are Kobae, Jax, and I. Some days Kobae hangs around the lodge in particular if there is a dog here so he can protect his turf. Jax seems a little happier on those days as we don't have to wait every 100 feet for Kobae.

Jax has recovered from his encounter with the raccoons a week or two ago. Raccoon did a run by trying to snatch his bait hot dog and Jax was all over it. He's back to walking down the porch and eating out of the same bowl the raccoons do just to irritate them.

Not only are the 100s gone, so are the 90s, and the 80's are scarce. Most days temps are 60s and 70s. Instead of showing guests how the air conditioners and coolers work we're gonna have to break out the heaters and one of these nights soon Kobae is going to move back into the laundry room as his 17th year here comes to a close with a month or so left before he snowbird's it to San Diego for the winter.
