Mystery Continues

Teresa has been feeding the critters lately for most of the nights. Still just a few foxes, ringtails, skunks, and the raccoon numbers are starting to grow. Most every that is going to get pregnant is. The future parents will be eating lots of hot dogs every night for those about to join us. A few nights ago she said she heard heavy feet running quickly down the hill from the mud huts but shining the light and keeping up with the heavy feet running the headlamp showed nothing.
We're pretty busy and somebody has to watch Kobae as things warm up he spends more time on the front porch so it's tough for Jax and I to get away for very long. When we can we spend most of our time at the Ghost Foxes or down in the tamarisk belos Hole 5 on the original course. It's spooky down there. So on this day we're at the Ghost Foxes.
It's a large area and not just in width up in height also with boulder after boulder stacked on top of each other. There all sizes of opening with every foot print you can imagine in there somewhere and likewise for scat. In addition to it being where the Ghost Foxes live we have twice heard an animal crying then you can tell it's been grabbed by the throat as you can hear it choking and then it goes quiet.
