Kane Creek Canyon Ride

This morning at departure for my morning ride the smoke from west of here fires was as bad as it's been. I went five or six miles down Kane Creek Canyon which is about as far as I can go on a Scorpa without carrying extra gas. This is the enlarged tank and it's still just 1.2 gallons. So six miles to Kane Creek from Base Camp, six down Kane Creek Canyon and the return trip makes it 24 miles. If it was cruising speed there's be a cushion but a lot of speed up and down and shift changes make it tight on the gallon of gas and the point two is about what I had when I got back.
