The Painful Way Down
Tom wants to start working his way back to the lodge which will take an hour and some change. Following big horn tracks he comes to a steep downhill that big horn do with ease, people not so much. Tom remembers this trail. He took it once a summer or two ago. There are a couple of six or eight foot jumps, but into soft dirt as Tom recalls. Working his way down, Tom comes to the first jump and can see the dirt piled up where the big horn have jumped. When Tom makes his jump the surface is frozen. Tom lands hard and falls on his right shoulder. It hurts, but he can still move it.
