Discovery Trail cuts across America and each year a few brave souls try to walk the whole country. Perhaps the most unkind section is Base Camp to Needles Outpost. It's about 60 miles, of heat, deep sand, no water, and if it goes wrong, no help. Two fellows nearly perished on it last year. Today Josh came through and Erich and Tom escorted him as far as they could on ATV's providing water and helping with supplies
