Rock Squirrels
The rock squirrels are the only critter that Jax is allowed to chase, during the day time. They are digging tunnels everywhere. They come in the lodge and try and go down the hall way to get the stash of sunflower seeds that we feed the birds each day. Somebody ate the wires to my truck and when Teresa opened the hood a rock squirrel came running out. Because I can't kill critters, we've been putting the trap out, catching rock squirrels and taking them part way up Hurrah and releasing them where I've seen other rock squirrels. The first day we put the trap out we caught the skunk. Jax, having been sprayed three times already decided that it was safe since it was in the cage so went over to check it out, got up against the cage to smell it and took a blast right to the face. It took both of us the bathe him this time. Even a week later the smell is gone but I think it's still on his tongue. Don't let him lick you anytime soon. So we caught a rock squirrel the next day and I took him part way up Hurrah and released him.The second rock squirrel we caught, took him up Hurrah, set him by the big rock so he could escape Jax, and while I forgot to take a picture other than the rock, the squirrel shot out of the cage and went up in the side by side. I have completely taken the other Polaris apart trying to get a rock squirrel out and there is a place I can't get to so Teresa, Jax, and I had to sit around for an hour waiting for him to leave the side by side.
