Mistake

I closed the blinds Monday night upwards instead of downwards so I didn't automatically wake up to the sunlight at 5:45 am insuring Jax and I got out hiking by 6am before it gets hot so with a 7am start instead we drove over to the bottom of Hurrah and hiked the mile and a half to the top in all shade. Wasn't all shade on the way back down but it was down and a breeze so worked out. Don't know who put these stakes on the pass to alert to places a tire might fall in a ditch but it is a good idea.

As is always the case somebody called to say they couldn't make it so I grabbed a shovel and drove up and down Hurrah both sides trying to find a hole to fill in and finally shoveled away some sand and replaced it with shale at one spot but couldn't really find a problem location. Then three days later somebody shows up in the same vehicle, no problem.
