The Wind
Weather forecast said 5 to 10 mph winds. Yet, everything Tom sets on the front porch for Kobae to eat, lettuce, apple, cucumber......gets blown away. Solution found.

The River Runs Red
After no rain for two months the canyon lands have received rain two straight nights and the river runs red with sediment.

Western Blackneck Garter Snake
Snakes of Utah shows this area to be right at the very edge of the range of the Western Blackneck Garter Snake and it's the first one Tom has seen in seven years.

Every time Tom opens a door to a room a Side-blotched lizard runs inside to get under the fan or air conditioning.

Above Chicken Corner
