LOL, but this time of year that must be the best way to cool off,
how bad was the under curent?
For about 100 feet in the middle I had to dig my feet into the sand to keep from getting swept away but if you keep searching, you can find a sandbar to walk on. It took me about 45 minutes to cross over but on the way back I did it in about 15 minutes.
Ok, let me ask the obvious question... why?
