The Hummingbird Wars
Every day, multiple times a day, the hummingbirds fight over the flowers of the Desert Willow next to the front steps of the lodge. This Sunday morning, there has been a casualty. Tom, picks up off the porch a female. Weighing in at about one tenth of an ounce, a wing beat of 50 times per second, and a heartbeat of 1,000 times a minute, she appears stunned. Tom strokes her for a few minutes and feels her starting to move, her neck begins to move right to left (not broken), a few more moments, she lifts into flight and is gone.

Third time actually. Ahh, the Hummingbird Whisperer.
My dad caught one as a little boy, he stuttered and his mexican mother told him if he put it under his tongue it would correct it, it didn't and it hurt.
