Surrounded by the Amasa Back, Hurrah Pass, Anticline, and Dead Horse Point and with the Colorado River running alongside, you’ve discovered Base Camp. A one of a kind wilderness lodge.
I couldn't resize it. You're gonna have to click on it to make it larger. Two male (brightly colored) and two female American Goldfinch have begun showing up the last few days.
The Cowbirds used to be my favorite just because of their unusual R2D2 call they make which I can't get my camera to pick up I guess cause it's such a high pitched shrill. The American Goldfinch are my new heroes because they are strict vegetarians, no insects. If a Cowbird lays an egg in an American Goldfinch nest the young won't survive on vegetarian stuff alone. So, the Cowbirds have met their match, somebody they can't leach off.
