Each year Jeep picks a location to showcase their new models first to their own photographers and video people and then a few days later to the public. This year they chose Base Camp.

Only the Lonely

Two or three times a day Tom sees all the songbirds go to flight reigniting nightmares the Sharp-shinneds are back. Each time it's the Eurasian Collard-Dove that looks so similar. Got to be a lonely feeling that every time you show up 150 of those like you take off.

Predator?

Tom is sitting on the porch watching Who's Up hunt and Kobae sleep listening to a hundred plus songbirds sing their various melodies thinking it's been at least two weeks since he's seen a winged predator of any sort and over a month since he's seen a hawk. Then out of sky comes a larger than normal gray bird swooping in and all the songbirds to include 60 Red-winged blackbirds (now all day visitors) scatter. A Eurasian Collard-Dove lands and starts pecking for food. Within a few seconds all three feeding locations have returned to their soft melodic sounds.

Watching and Waiting

While Kobae sleeps Who's Up waits for flies to land on Kobae's leftovers.
