Surrounded by the Amasa Back, Hurrah Pass, Anticline, and Dead Horse Point and with the Colorado River running alongside, you’ve discovered Base Camp. A one of a kind wilderness lodge.
We got good directions at the Islands in the Sky visitors center. The hike there was all downhill except for the last hundred yards or so and took a little over 30 minutes probably. The hike back of course was the opposite and took 45 minutes and some change. Little slippery on the trail from ice the sun hasn't hit yet but not bad at all. Didn't want to leave. So peaceful.

You made it to false kiva. Was the trail difficult to find? Michele
