Linny and Tom haven't seen the sheep in a week. Looking from the lodge Tom sees they have showed. Tom and his best friend in the whole world Linny and her sister Raquel drive down to feed them. Thelma has a surprise for them.

ATVing In a Winter Wonder Land

Before leaving for an ATV journey, Tom tears up some slices of bread and throws them on the porch, upon returning, it appears there were plenty of takers. Shane and Tom visit the marker for the cowboy that perished here several years ago. Looking across the river to Dead Horse Point left and Mission Impossible Two Point on the right side. Directly across the river on the area jutting out, Thelma and Louise Point. Last, taken from Chicken Corner, the end of the Anti Cline with the La Sal Mountains in the background.

Two months after Kobae left, rain, wind, snow, his footprints are still on the beach.

With memorable temperatures staying between about 10 below and 15 above for the last four days the amount of ice in the Colorado River has increased daily. Forecast for the next three days.....snow.

People Will Come Ray

They will come to Base Camp Ray. They'll come up the driveway on foot, pedal, ATV, or jeep, not knowing for sure why they are doing it. Some with children to show them an unspoiled nature. Others for the peace and serenity of it all or the new adventures that await them. Some for the beach or magic waters of the Colorado River and it's canyons. The wanderers of the Hayduke and Discovery Trails. Those that wish to photograph the beauty that engulfs them. Those in trouble and needing help. As long as Base Camp is here, people will come Ray.
