Thursday

Kobae has been coming out, eating, then hanging out on the porch. This is about the time each year that one day he will just head up the hill or down the driveway and we're off hiking. An hour or two before dark I try and turn him around and if he won't turn I call the lodge and have someone drive a truck to our location. Takes two people to lift him in the back of the truck, drive him back and unload him. Time to get my packs together.
When I moved here 18 years ago this creek bed was about six feet wide and three feet deep. Mother Nature has changed all that.
Grand sons Tiago and Thomas work on trials bikes and side by sides in the Base Camp garage while Thomas plays with Jax.
The Hurrah Pass sign which has turned into a bumper sticker for various causes and sayings.
