Climb Abandoned

Tom and Linny's effort to climb Jacob's Ladder to the top of the Amasa Back was abandoned when Linny had to pee.

Quality Mud

On the return trip from Chicken Corner, Tom sent four ATV riders down a creek to see the river. When they didn't return, Tom felt an obligation to pull and push them all out of the mud they were stuck in. Upon returning to the lodge, having lost the echo contest, Linny got to clean Tom's shoes.

Good Day at Echo Wall

After being defeated by Linny in three previous contests to see who could get the most echoes at Echo Wall by Chicken Corner, today, after the 7th echo, the canyon yelled back, "Tom, you are the champion." Finally defeating a four year old, Tom could hold his head high again.

The Views From 14 (Part Two)

Looking down at the S fairway and basket to 11. In the distance above the far canyon wall and below the Anti Cline and Hatch Point the slot canyon leading to Stairway to Heaven and the third picture is the Three Finger canyons to the south of the lodge.

The Views From 14

At the conclusion to the basket at 14, it's time to take a break from the sun. Sit in the shade of the rocks and admire the view. The Amasaback, Base Camp, and as far as you can see in the distance, Chicken Corner.

11 & 14

11 winds thru an S canyon and 14 is up on top. Don't go to the right on 14 or it's a very long ways down. Going left isn't so pleasant either. 12 & 13 are in (older posts).
