Hiking
No hawks for three days and the temperature is all the way up to 12 degrees. Time to go hiking. First thing Tom notices is there are no songbirds anywhere he goes. Looking out the office window probably explains that. Second, there are no deer or big horn tracks. Maybe the cows ate everything or they are fenced out but both are unlikely explanations.
