Short Cut

Jax and I spent Sunday trying to find a short cut to Jackson Hole without taking the road out there. We got kind of a late start. We couldn't find a way over the ridge to get to the east side. While we didn't find a route yet it was a great hike. Right as we got past the garage with all the solar panels on it on the north side of the property a cow came out of the bushes and Jax took off chasing it when 15 big horn sheep came out of the bushes running the other way so Jax switched direction and took off towards the big horn but they run a little faster and he came right back. I got a not so great picture of them as they were heading up the hill.
We had wonderful views and 50 degree weather all day. I saw the weather when we got back and it was 5 degrees in Denver and a raging snowstorm in Salt Lake mountains. Checking the two week forecast here we got mostly mid 40s to the end of the month. Our intent is to hike everyday.
We passed by our friend across the river in the airstream but didn't see his truck there.
The river is still going down. It peaked here at 21.5 feet deep and it's about six feet now.
