The Hiking

Kobae and Jax will both go one day. Then the next Kobae hangs out at the lodge and Jax and I get in a good long hike, though hiking up Hurrah and out to the Wind Caves were the last two Kobae hikes of almost three miles each so he's getting some good hikes in. The season mostly ended at the end of October and now mostly just full or almost full on weekend until Thankgiving and then there's about two and a half months of hiking further away from the lodge since Kobae will be in San Diego for the winter. He's just got another week or so of hiking and then he's gone for the winter. The days are so perfect out here hiking. I get to reflect a lot and read.
The cowbirds have left and hundreds of red winged blackbirds have showed up as every year. Kobae always gets horny in October and November or maybe we just have ore dogs staying on the property for him to chase. I have a sharp-shinned hawk here and he finally got a meal. Looks like Eurasian dove who are the slowest fliers with the most meat on the bone.
