It's Crowded

Tom spots two guys walking down from the Hogans. Stepping outside they tell him they are taking a boat to Hite in Lake Powell and are parked down by the island. Had to fight the Tamarisk to get up here. It's real rare for somebody to do the river this time of the year. They want to play disc golf. Tom gives them a map and a walkie talkie. Before they leave to begin the course they ask if Tom saw the Peregrine Falcon that just swooped across the yard? He did not. Thirty minutes later Tom looks outside and sees all the critters scatter. Looking around he finds this guy in the Desert Willow. It appears to be a Sharp-shinned hawk but is considerably smaller than the two he sees hunting here so frequently. It waits in the Desert Willow for 45 minutes until the first bird returns and then makes an attempt. Tom didn't see the outcome which took place at the top of the Desert Willow. Everybody's nervous and clearly rightly so.
