The pain was on the way up to get out of bed and it always peaked right at getting off the bed, standing up, or rolling over. At the worst part of the pain is the part you have to fight through because if you don't get elevated on that attempt you have to keep going through it again and again so once I figured that out it was manageable.
I have four pair of the exact same boot. Two 10.5 for winter and two 11's for summer. My feet expand when it gets hot. So hard to tell what the lifespan is but in the early days out here I tried different pairs and these were the only ones that lasted an entire year.

Those rocks are unbelievable. Poor, tired Jax. Lots of hiking -- how long does a pair of shoes last you?
