Toad Beach

The cisterns that collect rainwater off the roof on each side of the lodge have on occasion had a critter fall in. Tom placed floating wood in each so anything that fell in would have a life raft until Tom next watered and rescued it. Occasionally a singing Red Spotted toad could be heard and a Woodhouse toad would drift for a day or two then and again. On hot days though.........

Kobae spends part of the day helping Tom in the office.

Esben, The Lizard Whisperer



Esben has taken a liking to the lizards and them to him. A pregnant (red spots) Leopard lizard spends part of her day with Esben on the front porch. Later Esben hand feeds (fly) a side-blotch while taking the picture.
